LAS VEGAS, November 14, 2000 -- Park Place Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:PPE) today announced that Gary DiBartolomeo has stepped down as president of Caesars Atlantic City. Paul Henderson, currently president of the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort, has been named to the Caesars post, pending regulatory notifications and approvals.
Mr. DiBartolomeo was appointed as president on January 4, 2000 and has been on a medical leave of absence since May 22, 2000 in order to deal with his compulsive gaming condition. If approved by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, Mr. DiBartolomeo will continue on his medical leave of absence, pending the resolution of his license hearing scheduled to begin on November 16, 2000.

?I have decided to step down as president so I can concentrate on my treatment and recovery and the preservation of my ability to work in the industry. I believe that it?s the right thing for me, my family and Caesars,? noted Mr. DiBartolomeo.

Paul Henderson, a long-time industry executive, became president of the Atlantic City Hilton in August 1998. Prior to joining Hilton, Mr. Henderson worked in Las Vegas and Atlantic City in a variety of marketing and executive roles. ?Paul is an extraordinarily gifted leader who has taken the Atlantic City Hilton to new levels of performance.
