10/10/2003 October 10, 2003 LAS VEGAS, NEV. -- The Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, home of the celebrity impersonators, is looking for some new stars to come forward as they host the first "Be A Legend" Amateur Celebrity Impersonator Karaoke Contest. The hotel, home to the 20-year-old "Legends In Concert" celebrity tribute and the all new Dealertainer celebrity impersonating blackjack dealers, invites contestants to put on their best celebrity appearance and perform for a panel of judges on Thursday, Nov. 13, in their sidewalk club Tequila Joe?€™s. In addition to impressing the judges and claiming the title, contestants will also be competing for the chance to become a real Legend. The $500 top prize for winning the contest comes with a guaranteed audition with OnStage Entertainment to join the cast of Legends In Concert. The second place winner will receive $250 in cash and the third place winner will receive an Imperial Palace tabletop karaoke jukebox. The contest is open to anyone 21 years or older who is not a working celebrity impersonator and will be limited to the first 20 applicants.
