Mandalay Bay The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino was built at a cost of $950 million and it contains a 135,000 square foot casino and sports book and over 2,400 slots and video poker machines. It has 122 table games including poker, 3,700 rooms and suites, eleven restaurants, "Treasures of Mandalay Bay" currency museum, three pools, 11 acre tropical lagoon, a lazy river ride, a sand and surf beach and a full full spa and salon. My husband and I are planning a trip this Dec,2003. Our last visit was August2003. Really, I don't understand what everybody's fussy about the wave pool, it was great, sandy beach and when you're ready for a cocktail all you have to do is put your flag up on your lounge chair. Service was A+. The hotel is the last hotel on the strip, so what. You come to Vegas to stay in the middle of the strip? Has anyone ever heard of a taxi. Great hotel, great service. Every year we go to las vegas, twice a year, the whole family stays at mandalaybay, we never had any problems. Service is superior! Gambling is great.The hotel is beautiful , Irecommended it to everyone! Mandalay bay is the best hotel in vegas by far , so if some people do not know how enjoy themselves the hotel is not at fault! Great place to stay. Kind of far from the rest of the strip, did a lot of walking, but otherwise great. Good restaurants, lots of choice, nice pool/beach area but was pretty crowded on a Sunday, so get there early to get a lounge chair. Saw Mamma Mia there, highly recommend it. Room size was nice, bathroom was great, ended up with a view of the airport, but otherwise the room was great. Would stay there again. I just returned from my first visit to Las Vegas. I stayed at Mandalay Bay and was so happy. My boyfriend and I stayed in a room that overlooked the strip and it was beautiful and very clean. I will definately stay there again when I go back. The food at the restaurants was delicious and the hotel is just beautiful. When I stayed at the Mandalay Bay, we arrived at about 10 a.m. The woman at the check-in counter checked us in early, even though "she wasn't supposed to." We were prepared to wait until the afternoon, so this was a very nice surprise. Personally, I love the MB. It's my favorite Las Vegas hotel. Go when the pool is open, though.
