Rules for Playing Poker
This is one of the most interesting card games that I have come across.
To play poker online, you need to know a few rules and we list these poker
rules here. These rules and the ranks of the hands aren't too
complicated to remember.
Poker is generally played with a standard deck of 52 cards, though you could
run into versions of poker played with less or more cards.
As you might know, the regular deck consists of these thirteen different
ranked cards: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
Each of these cards comes in four different suits: Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts,
Spades. In poker, no one suit is stronger than the other.
At the beginning of a poker game, all players must place a set sum
(called "Ante" or a "Blind Bet") signaling they are playing this session.
Five cards are dealt to each and every poker player and then the first
player to the left of the dealer makes his move.
A poker player can carry out one of the following actions:
Check if no one has bet. If so you can choose not to bet anything or bet.
But if a bet has already been made, then to stay in this poker round you must
either match the bet or raise the amount. To raise you need to add the amount
of the previous bet and add to it. If you wish not to play, you can fold your
cards. Remember that if you fold your cards you lose any money you have
already placed in the pot.
At the end of the game, the highest hand wins.
Which hand is the highest hand?
